Hear Ye, Hear Ye!
Per the Second Bi-Coastal Ellingsworth Iteration of 1973, I formally and proudly announce that you WILL be playing Mornington Crescent.
If you need to brush up on the rules, look here. Keep in mind that there are no rules (only guidelines), and that if you disobey the rules, you may or may not be expelled from the game, disbarred (if you happen to be a lawyer from Illinois. Sorry, Abe.), excommunicated from the Catholic church, sent home with a piece of cake for your mother, and/or eaten by a grue.
Any questions?
This round will be played under the following sets of guidelines (aka: rules).
- We will be playing by rules dictated by the Lonetree International Consortium of 1999 as dictated by Lawrence Phigg. Unfortunately, that means that any moves allowed under the Kittredge Phigg dictation will not be honored. So no, you may not change lines at Evans, although it does allow for some of our players who are non-Denver residents to invoke the Bi-lateral decree of 2066 and go Universal.
- As I am in New Hampshire at the moment, Monadnock rules apply. So no gourd strafing.
- Also: No figging, no cheapies, no graveyards, and if you're over the age of 23, no haberdashery. Literature is allowed if used within reason. Funk and Wagnalls is encouraged.
Please refer to the classic play map, the Western Topographic Variation, and to expansions one, two, and four.
I'll start it off to get things going, but feel free to butt in and start your own round if you so desire.
ALAMEDA
and.... GO!
eta:
go here if you're still confused. you'll still be confused, but hopefully amused as well, which is the point anyway.
